Serve Story - Local

I had the opportunity to serve at Church at The Well last summer not really knowing what to expect. After coming to Boston and serving with the church and The Well Coffee House I saw what church can and should be like: Missional. I learned that as a disciple of Christ I should never be bored, that mission is all around me, whether serving lattes and building relationships, serving food at the soup kitchen, or praying for someone in the park. Serving at a missional church like CATW showed me that the Lord has placed unique gifts in all of us to equip us to be on mission.

When I got back home I felt that I had more to learn in Boston. After speaking with friends back home we developed a team to return and serve again this summer. I will help lead a team of 10, nine from Georgia and one from Arizona, and am amped to be back serving this city and this church for the glory of Jesus. My team is hungry to be on mission and I am excited to see what God has in store for all of us this summer.
